Scarier than death
I still draw a breath
I always venture to the past
Laugh with old friends
Indifferent to my unpopularity
Now I bottle my feelings in a jar
Shove them into a drawer and hope they are no more
“Look to the Future” to me but empty words
Past and present like fairy tales are never true
But always teach a lesson
DifferenceI was told thatDifference by Si1VeR-ReBoRn
No one is better
Than somebody else
Yet I still hear and see
The prejudices against people
Whether you’re gay, a nerd,
Or anything else that makes you different
Is usually not accepted
I thought that we were the “Land of The Free”
We can never be truly Free
Until people can live in Harmony
Whether Your Jewish, atheist, or any other religion
Those differences do not matter
We live on the same planet, breathe the same
Air yet we still wage war on each other
When will the world wake up and realize
That difference does not make them
Superior or Inferior to other People?
YouWhen our lips met I feltYou by Si1VeR-ReBoRn
Like I could soar across the
Sky. The door was
Finally opening to better things
But a feeling of vulnerability
Washed over me like a wave.
What if you broke my heart?
My selfish mind spat out a
Lie. “I like you but I don’t
Want this to ruin our friendship.”
I erected barriers to protect
My heart of glass.
But you broke through the barriers I set up.
Others have broken them in the past but
You not only obliterated the defenses
You cut into my heart like the iceberg
That sank the unsinkable Titanic
When you had fallen for another.
Art Of LoveChances are like grasping grainsArt Of Love by Si1VeR-ReBoRn
Of sand that slip through your fingers.
In the Art Of Love one should never hesitate
Because in the blink of an eye, faster than
The flapping wings of a hummingbird
A chance can fly away.
In the Art Of Love you haven’t the time to strategize
For an unknown enemy may be one step ahead of you.
There are no victors in the Art Of Love for there
Is always a price to pay.
layersi’ve wrapped up silly things in my heartlayers by saltwaterlungs
like pictures and scribbles
old scarves and poems
songs and magazine snippets
typewriter fonts and skeleton keys
favourite pens and flower petals
droplets of tea and cookie crumbs
gritty bits of sand and popsicle sticks
you’re there too.
VoicesThe Cage is frozen shut.Voices by M3lisaWurm
And I heard giving up is all the rage.
But that stubborn bird still sings a song.
Nobody knew why that stubborn bird sang,
Nobody knew except me.
From the highest of mountains
to the lowest of valleys,
her golden voice rings though.
For she speaks of freedom
and justice too.
No ruler can held her down.
We can all learn from this singing bird
that is words are great.
Words can create love
and wash away the hate.
So speak up before it is too late.
Even though we have only one voice and it may be weak,
if we speak it together, we are strong.
Galaxies in CoffeeI swear that there were galaxies swirlingGalaxies in Coffee by WindFragments
in the cup of coffee I drank this morning
(The milky way was mixed
with milk and sugar)
And I swear that stars dot
your face like freckles
when you smile,
and that stardust is tangled in your hair
and is in your glittering eyes
But sh, darling,
don't say that isn't true.
Don't say a word and
as long as you're silent,
I'll paint it in for you
And you'll become my sun
and I will become a planet that
revolves around the you who
has become my creation
until I get sick of the taste
